Do you find yourself living at Lowes and Home Depot on the weekends? Are you that friend or neighbor that everyone turns to when they need help or advice fixing things. Habitat for Humanity, one of the most nationally recognized service organizations has been partnering with people in underprivileged areas to help build homes. Recently they started a new project to provide home repair work for those people in need. Through a local Habitat office you can volunteer to help repair and build homes for those in your community that need it. They also have ReStores where locals can donate goods necessary for a new home (lumber, doors, windows, plumbing and faucets, light fixtures, and even appliances). Profits from these stores go towards their local housing projects. So find one and donate and shop as well!
